FAQ: COURTRESERVE

CourtReserve is a third-party system which handles our memberships, event registration, and emails. SMPC members may go directly to our CourtReserve site or app to manage their accounts and register for SMPC events; or use the buttons/links provided throughout our SMPC site to access CourtReserve.

EVENT REGISTRATION

When attempting to register for an event, I receive a note saying, “A membership plan is required to reserve courts.” I don’t want to reserve courts, what does that mean?

  • Members whose memberships have expired or whose membership level is ineligible for the event will receive this error message. It is confusing, but we are unable to change the message’s wording. Please either click here to join SMPC or upgrade your level to access reservation privileges for that event. Use the “Contact us” button at the bottom of this page to request an upgrade to your membership level (a donation will be required to bring your current level up to the new level).

When attempting to register for an event, I receive a note saying, “Registration not allowed for this event.” What gives?

  • Members whose level is ineligible for the event or whose membership has been suspended will receive this error message. If you would like to upgrade your membership to a level which is eligible for the event, please contact us via the button at the bottom of this page and let us know what membership level you would like to join (a donation will be required to bring your current level up to the new level).

  • If your membership was suspended in error or your suspension is over, please contact us via the button at the bottom of this page immediately.

Why must I fill out my player profile?

  • Players will only be able to register for SMPC events which align with their player profile data such as age, male/female, residence, etc. If an event specifies criteria and it is blank on your player profile, you will not be able to register. These player profiles take a few minutes to update, so please do this ahead of time or you might miss registration for a popular event.

Where do I find my player profile?

  • On the CourtReserve website click on your name in the upper right hand corner, choose Personal Information, fill out the form, and save your changes.

  • In the CourtReserve app click on the 3 vertical dots in the lower right hand corner, choose Personal Information, fill out the form, and save your changes.

Why am I now seeing a service charge on top of my payment?

  • In the past, SMPC paid those service charges, but they add up. Credit card service fees are now the responsibility of the member.

Will I get my service charge back when I am due a refund?

  • Unfortunately, no. Those service fees are charged no matter what, so we are unable to refund that portion of the charge.

I just joined/upgraded my membership level but am still unable to register for an event.

  • Typically, there is a 1-2 hour delay between joining and/or upgrading a membership and when the system registers the change in membership level. If it has been more than 2 hours and you are still unable to signup, please contact us. But please, only contact us after waiting the full 2 hours, refreshing your computer, and trying one more time.


Can I get text alerts about my events?

  • Yes, but you must input your phone number in your Player Profile and signup for notifications. To manage your notifications, in CourtReserve, click on your name in the upper right hand corner, go to Player Information. There are two tabs Personal Information and Notifications. Click on Notifications and check all the boxes for all the notifications you desire.

  • In CourtReserve, click on your name in the upper right hand corner, go to Player Information. There are two tabs Personal Information and Notifications. Click on Notifications and check all the boxes for all the notifications you desire.

Can I unsubscribe to SMPC emails?

  • Yes, in CourtReserve, click on your name in the upper right hand corner, go to Player Information. At the bottom of the page is a checkbox to unsubscribe to our emails/alerts/newsletters.

Can I register for events if I have unsubscribed to emails?

  • Yes, as long as your membership level and personal information qualifies you for the event, you may signup.

CANCELATIONS

How do I cancel an event?

  • If cancelling more than 24 hours prior to the event, please cancel via the CourtReserve website or app. Click on MY EVENTS, click on the event you wish to cancel, click on the WITHDRAW button.

  • If cancelling less than 24 hours prior to the event, please cancel via email sent to:

events@SantaMonicaPickleballClub.org

If less than 24 hours, click here to send email:

  • If you attempt to cancel via CourtReserve less than 24 hours prior to the event, you will receive a notice, “This event cannot be cancelled within 24 hours of the start date. Please contact the organization with questions.” You MUST email us at the above email address to cancel so we can attempt to find a replacement player.

How do I cancel my membership?

  • Click on your name in the upper right of CourtReserve.

  • Click on My Membership. This will show you your next billing cycle as well as a button to change your membership level and the big red one is to cancel your membership.


REFUNDS

In the past refunds sometimes took a really long time, will CourtReserve fix this issue?

  • Yes, now refunds will generally be processed within 7-10 days business days. We appreciate everyone’s patience, we are a small band of volunteers.
